Next Rehearsal and AGM

Thursday 11th March - The next rehearsal will be preceded by the choir annual general meeting which will begin at our usual rehearsal time of 7.30pm. Booklets containing the meeting agenda, annual report and accounts will be available prior to the meeting for those who were unable to pick one up last week. It is expected that the meeting will last about thirty minutes and will be followed by a normal rehearsal.

Thu 4th Feb 10 Start of the new term - register between 7.00pm and 8.00pm at the URC.
Thu 11th Mar 10 Annual General Meeting.
Thu 25th Mar 10 Last Rehearsal before Easter break.
Thu 8th Apr 10 Rehearsals recommence after Easter break.
Fri 14th May 10 Additional, final rehearsal at St. Michael's in concert formation.
Sat 15th May 10 Spring concert at St. Michael's Church in Summertown.

Events

Fri 12th Mar 10 The Sixteen, as part of their Choral Pilgrimage 2010 entitled Ceremony & Devotion - Music for the Tudors, perform at The University Church of St. Mary's, Oxford. The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets may be purchased through Tickets Oxford. There is a pre-concert "conductor-singer encounter" at 7.00pm.
Sat 13th Mar 10 The Golden Age - 8pm at Merton College Chapel - A candlelit concert of sublime choral and instrumental music from Spain's Siglo de Oro. Tickets £8 (£5) available on the door.
Sat 20th Mar 10 Purcell's DIDO & ÆNEAS - Oxford Girls' Choir & Oxford Baroque Players. Two performances: 6.00pm and 8.15pm at The University Church of St. Mary's, Oxford. Tickets available online (£7) or on the door (£8), with concessions available.
Sat 28th Mar 10 The Cherwell Singers present Give Unto the Lord - 7.30pm at Exeter College Chapel - 20th century settings of the Psalms by English Composers - Tickets £10 (£8) available on the door.
Sat 28th Mar 10 The City of Oxford Choir - Brahms' Requiem - 7.30pm at The University Church of St. Mary's, Oxford. Tickets £10 (£8 or £6) available from Tickets Oxford.
