Next Rehearsal: 26th March 2026
Dear SCS Member,
For our next rehearsal Duncan has asked that we prepare the following:
- P.77 – 105 Cum Sancto Spiritu, concentrating on the less tuneful writing, much of which requires a confident crescendo. Please be gentle with the 2nd syllable of “Amen”. (ie. no downbeat on “men”).
- P106 – 123 Credo. Let’s make our fiery brass sounds a real contrast to our beautifully focused muted strings and flutes.
- Same with Et Resurrexit p.129 – 150
- P. 150 – 170. Again, the writing in between the big tunes needs to be more sure footed. Ascending minim counter subject – super legato with a confident crescendo.
