Message from Duncan

This Saturday at 5.30pm there will be another organ fundraising concert in St.Michael’s featuring outstanding local talent including Bethan Rose – violin, (Royal College of Music), Matty Holmes – trumpet (Royal Northern College of Music) and Harry Coleman-Stuart – baritone (Wells Cathedral School).
And from the sublime to the scintillating, The Honey Sucking Bees will sing Holst, Finzi and Vaughan Williams. Click here for flyer.

Also, choral evensong at 6.30pm on Sunday featuring Byrd’s Responses, Tallis’s canticles in the Dorian mode, Purcell’s famous 8 part anthem Hear my prayer and Alonso Lobo’s outstanding motet Versa est in luctum, one of the jewels of the Spanish renaissance. Click here for flyer.
